Monkey Face is the sister restaurant to Nahling (this is a
straight translation into English of Nah (Face) and Ling (Monkey).
This is a common term used for cheeky children that live in the Lopuri are of Thailand. Lophuri is situated approximately 95 miles from Bankok and is commonly known as 'Monkey Town'.
In this town monkeys are worshipped and they have their own designated festival once a year; where all the monkeys are dressed up in clothes and treated regally with their own buffet of Thai specialities to eat.
We also offer a varied tapas board that is available everyday from midday. It plays on a variation of the meaning of tapas by offering customers an eclectic mix of food from around the globe (please see attached a sample of what we can produce). This board is refreshed two or three times a week
Monkey Face is child friendly until 7pm when we then operate an Over 21’s policy. We have plenty of highchairs, toys and colouring books to keep the youngsters amused Mum and Dad can sit back and relax with the daily papers we provide.
Monkey Face is an extremely airy and light restaurant by day then we switch to a more sombre relaxed ambiance by night, with candlelit tables and lounge bar music. On the weekend we occasionally provide DJ’s, or we feature different types of live music and themed evenings. With well trained, friendly and very helpful staff we aim to make your time at Monkey Face as pleasurable as we can.
We look forward to seeing you
